17 story physicians and administrative office building at East Service Drive and Health Sciences Drive with a portion attached to the Buerger Center building. 565,000 square feet office space along with a fitness center, auditorium and other amenities. SSM performed the core & shell portion of this project which included 4 levels of below grade mechanical spaces, complete fit-out of the 1st floor, the 8th floor mechanical room, all core sheet metal risers as well as all work on the roof. The single most significant part of this project was the installation of boiler and emergency generators flues. With these flues serving 6 new, 6 existing boilers and 2 new emergency generators, SSM installed approximately 1,800 lineal feet of horizontals flues as well as over 2,500 lineal feet of riser flues. Combine these flue systems with the required induced draft fans, and this is one of the largest and most expensive flue systems ever installed in the City of Philadelphia.
