Renovations and improvements to Erie Insurance Arena included the addition of arena seating and significant enlargement of circulation areas, which increased the size of the arena from 152,000 square feet to a total area of 218,000 square feet, and boosted seating capacities to 6,500 for hockey, 6,750 for basketball and nearly 9,000 for concerts.
